There is a hand full of foods that are considered to be super! Super foods are so good for your body they can fight of disease and increase your livelihood. Dark chocolate has made it to the list of super foods! Dark chocolate is very high in flavonols, which lower your blood pressure and clean out your arteries. It has a compound called Theo bromine that can give you a bit of a lift. Dark chocolate is also a very powerful antioxidant. If you’d like to learn more about this check out our super foods class!
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between cacao and cocoa? Cacao refers to the raw or unprocessed form of chocolate. As in the cacao tree, cacao pods, cacao beans and even cacao nibs. The change happens when the nibs are ground into a paste of cocoa mass. Cocoa! So this would refer to the cocoa percentage of dark chocolates. Cocoa mass can also get presses into cocoa powder.
A tasty drink to celebrate the New Year!
Ingredients
1cup of half and half
1 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1 2/3 cup of Irish whiskey
1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules
2 table spoons of cocoa powder
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract
Directions
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend on high for 20 – 30 seconds. Enjoy!

We want to help you start the year of right with our January classes, the first focusing the health benefits of our favorite super food, chocolate and how to keep it in your diet. January’s second class will show you how to cook with chocolate as a savory!
February’s classes will be a bit sweeter for all you sweethearts! There is a Valentines class on the 12th. This would make a delightful date, or you can make something extra special for your sweetie. Our second class in February can be a tasty afterthought, hand made truffles and wine.

will teach you to make a chocolate themed dinner. From cocktails to appetizers,
entrees to desserts, you’ll be combining chocolate in ways that are delicious
as well as unique! Our menu will include Chocolate Martinis, Chocolate Banana
Wontons, and Beef Tenderloin with a cocoa nib rub, seasonal vegetables and
mashed potatoes. For dessert we’ll have
chocolate molten cake with ice cream and cocoa nib brittle. Join us for a delicious and healthy feast.

Learn to hand temper
chocolate and make true hand dipped truffles! We’ll start off by making the
basic truffle. Then you decide what flavors you want to add and what you want
